Remarks

• adult size between 60 and 100 mm
• very colourfull pectinid
• left (upper) valve has 32-36 flat ribs, interspace very small
• closely related to Euvola raveneli (Dall, 1898) from the same locality but the latter has less ribs (20-24) which are higher and the interspace between the ribs is wide
